Draxel is a free 2D CAD application for Windows designed to make accurate technical drawing easier to learn and faster to use without removing the precision expected from established CAD workflows. It includes tools for lines, rectangles, circles, ellipses, arcs, polylines, text, images, fills, dimensions, tolerances, layers, folders, colours, linetypes, grids, angle snapping, and configurable object snaps. Editing tools include move, copy, rotate, mirror, scale, trim, chamfer, fillet, join, and separate. Draxel imports and exports DWG and DXF drawings, uses its native DRX format, provides scale-controlled printing, and exports to PDF, SVG, EMF, and high-resolution PNG. Supported 3D CAD entities can be projected onto the XY plane and converted into editable 2D geometry, while unsupported objects are reported rather than silently discarded. The interface is available in English, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Simplified Chinese. Draxel is free for private and corporate use with no subscription, advertising, feature limits, or required cloud account.
